Now An Independent

At the end of last year, I left the Republican Party and registered Independent.  I have been a Republican for much of my adult life.  I even served in my home county Republican committee.  But, I have come to a conclusion that there isn't much of a difference between Republicans and Democrats.

When Scott Brown was elected in Massachusetts, so called  conservatives touted that as a big victory.  For whom?  Not conservatives!  The man id pro-abortion, and he's an economic liberal, as he voted for healthcare reform known as Romney-care, which isn't much different than Obama-care.  You can read my thoughts about Scott Brown in the General Political Forum.

I thought Sarah Palin might be a solution, until she started praising Ronald Reagan.  You can read the Reagan Years also in the general forum.   Ronald Reagan was no conservative.

Republicans have lost their way, and I don't foresee them ever finding it again any time soon.

Want to see the Republicans' true colors?  What happened in the first two years of the second Bush Administration?  A Republican President, and both houses of Congress had Republican majorities.  Did they cut spending?  No.  Did they decrease the size of government?  No.  They spent more than any other Congress in the history of this country before it.  They increased the size of government by creating yet another over-reaching government agency, which is Homeland Security.  They increased the size of government, the size of the budget, gave us greater deficits, and increased the National Debt.  And now we are suppose to trust then to do better.  Well, I don't.

So, what do we need?  We need a sizable Independent presence in Congress, and that is what intend to work for.  But, I will not vote for a liberal Independent, like Bernie Sanders from Vermont.

We need conservative Independents in Congress that will not be beholding to either party.  We might not see that anytime soon, but the potential is there since Independents are the biggest voting block.  The question is, are there enough conservative Independents to get Constitutional conservative Independents elected?  I don't know, but we shall someday see - I hope.

No, I do not know of Igor Panarin.  I did notice the link you supplied from youtube, but my antiquated computer often has problems with youtube.

What does he say?
